1) Uri L’Tzedek Shabbaton
Join Uri L’Tzedek for our second annual college shabbaton, November 20-22nd at Columbia University. We will gather together for a weekend of programming and learning, networking, and action with Jewish social justice leaders from college campuses around the country. Together we will explore Jewish texts relating to issues of Orthodoxy and social justice, develop social justice visions for our campus communities, and build relationships with other student leaders.  On Sunday participants will participate in a Yom Iyyun and take action as they hit the streets to support Uri L’Tzedek’s Tav HaYosher (http://tavhayosher.wordpress.com/), an ethical seal for kosher restaurants.

Uri L’Tzedek is seeking college students who are committed to the mission of Uri L’Tzedek: education, leadership development, and action to create discourse, inspire leaders and empower the Jewish community toward creating a more just world. In the evening, there will be a large Iftar (breaking of the fast) meal for all participants. There will also be speeches by community members as well as reflections from participants.

4) Research Study
Are you a Jew between the ages of 18-29? Would you like to take a couple of moments to discover more about yourself and your stage in life?

Below is a link to an on-line research study survey (part of a CUNY student's doctoral research) regarding your assessment of your values, beliefs, and current stage of life. All answers will be confidential and your identity can be anonymous if you so chose. It only takes 20-30 minutes to discover more about yourself, share your story, and contribute to psychological theory. Not bad, considering it can take years to write an auto-biography….
