Hillel classes are absolutely free and absolutely amazing. They are a great way to jump into or continue learning in a chill way right on campus! Check them out, they are great! They start next week!
1. The Jewish Perspective on Politics - Barack or McCain, what would Rashi say?
Looking at and discussing issues in politics with a Jewish perspective.
Absolutely no previous knowledge of religious texts or politics required! Taught by the wonderful Rabbinic Intern, Karen Perolman.

2. Introduction to Talmud.
What is the Talmud? What is a Talmudic argument? We will learn the answers to these questions and more. The pages we will study deal with the meaning of suffering (it's not what you think), the significance of the synagogue, and how the rabbis view God (you'll be surprised). No previous background is necessary. No need to brush up on your Aramaic because all sources will be studied in English. Taught by the wonderful David Polsky.
Meets every Monday, 7:00 - 8:30, location TBA
3. Learn the Weekly Torah Portion with Rabbi Almog.
Study and learn the weekly portion from the Torah (par'shah), each week with Rabbi Almog. No previous knowledge of Hebrew or Jewish texts required.
