Hope your week is going well so far. Considering the number of pumpkins appearing on street corners all over the city, it looks like Fall is here! Which of course means lots of great programs taking place here at Hillel. This week our calendar may look bare, but it's all about the meetings, classes and more meetings which are taking place! Check out all the details below, and let me know if you have any questions. And...good luck on those midterms!

Check out the following classes taking place this semester:
1) MONDAYS at 6:30pm: Learn how to reach the Alef-Bet with D'ror
326 International Affairs Building (IAB is on Amsterdam)
Want to be able to pick up a prayer book or a Hebrew publication and know how to pronounce the words? Then, this is the class for you! Plus, it's taught by D'ror, Hillel's awesome JCSC!
2) MONDAYS at 7:30pm: Intro to Talmud
2nd Floor Bishop Library of the Kraft Center (Hillel building - 606 W. 115th Street)
What is this page that has weird looking script on it? Learn the basics of the Talmud in this class!
3) TUESDAYS at 6:30pm: Learn how to Lein (chant) Torah trope like a pro
2nd Floor Bishop Library of the Kraft Center (Hillel building - 606 W. 115th Street)
Want to learn how to read Torah for a service or just for fun? Come to this class to learn how each of the special symbols sounds. Also a great class if you are interested in becoming a gabbai (prayer leader).
4) WEDNESDAYS at 7:30pm: Torah Portion of the Week with Rabbi Almog

Learn some insights into the Torah Portion of the Week (Parashat Hashavuah) with Rabbi David Almog, Columbia/Barnard Hillel's very own rabbi!
